Have you ever thought about what causes seasons? 🤔🤔

Seasons are caused due to the revolution and the tilt of the Earth's axis.

The four distinct seasons that we experience are:

SUMMER SEASON

WINTER SEASON

SPRING SEASON

AUTUMN SEASON

Let us look at how seasons are caused:

When the northern hemisphere leans towards the Sun, the southern hemisphere leans away from the Sun.

   

                              

 It is Summer time in countries in the Northern Hemisphere.

It is Winter time in countries in the Southern Hemisphere.

The northern hemisphere receives more sun rays (look at the image above) and experiences the summer season.

Meanwhile, the southern hemisphere receives fewer sun rays and experiences winter season.

The longest day in the northern hemisphere is 21 June. This day marks the summer solstice.
